Aluminate cement is a hydraulic cementitious material made of bauxite and limestone as raw materials, calcined to produce clinker with calcium aluminate as the main component and about 50% alumina content, and then ground.Aluminate cement is often yellow or brown, but also gray. The main minerals of aluminate cement are monocalcium aluminate (CaO•Al2O3, abbreviated as CA) and other aluminates, as well as a small amount of dicalcium silicate (2CaO•SiO2).
Aluminate cement sets and hardens fast. The 1d strength can reach more than 80% of the strength, and it is suitable for various industrial furnaces such as metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, electric power, machinery, building materials and so on.It is mainly used for urgent construction projects, such as national defense, roads and special emergency repair projects.
Aluminate cement has a large heat of hydration and a concentrated heat release. The heat of hydration released in 1d is 70% to 80% of the total, which makes the internal temperature of the concrete rise higher. Even if it is constructed at -10°C, the aluminate cement can quickly set and harden, which can be used for winter construction projects. .
Under ordinary hardening conditions, aluminate cement does not contain tricalcium aluminate and calcium hydroxide, and its compactness is relatively large, so it has strong sulfate corrosion resistance.
